Shaheed Abdul Hameed Educational Society (SAHES) was established in the year 2003 with a mission to provide educational and social upliftment services to the needy in and around Mahmudabad, District Sitapur.

The town of Mahmudabad is approximately 50 kms North of Lucknow. The society was established in the year 2003 by Dr. Syed Ali Haroon Rizvi and Dr.(Mrs.) Rana Khan, Mohib Haroon and Arshi Rizvi along with others. Since then, the society has undertaken several initiatives to help in social upliftment of the poor, scheduled casts, scheduled tribes, backwards and minorities.

One of the major achievements of the society is to establish a Law college to impart legal education in Mahmudabad named Mahmudabad Law College which is affiliated to Lucknow University, Lucknow and duly approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.

It was the first law college to be established in the district of Sitapur without any government grant or funds. The society is registered with the office of the Registrar, Funds, Chits and Societies, Lucknow, under Indian Societies Registration Act of 1860. The society has been named in memory of Shaheed Abdul Hameed who was Company Quartermaster in the Indian Army and who posthumously received India's highest military decoration, the Param Vir Chakra, for his gallant actions during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965.
